Cecily is Founder & Managing Partner at Fueled for Growth, a consulting firm that helps large organizations develop, test and launch new business models, particularly circular business models. She also advises early-stage cleantech startups. She often operates as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR). As EIR at Logitech, she was the main POC for circular business models, developed and tested HaaS and TBYB models, and launched their B2B Trade-in Program, an essential piece in the execution of a circular model. As an EIR at Itron Idea Labs, she developed a SaaS to provide energy, water & emissions data monitoring to C&I customers in order to detect and correct unintended electricity and water waste and meet sustainability goals.
Cecily’s unique career in the energy sector spans from oil and gas to utilities to renewable energy as well as construction materials, chemicals, and waste. She created, launched and led the innovation and knowledge sharing programs for Covanta, the world’s largest waste-to-energy (WTE) company, to evaluate emerging technologies and find organic growth opportunities. She also built their marketing department and directed all marketing activities, including a strategic rebranding of the company to reflect their expanded sustainability mission and vision.
Cecily also has experience in financial services where she was Vertical Head of the Energy & Industrials research team as well as the Retail/Consumer research team at Standard & Poor’s Vista Research and later Guidepoint Global. She was a critical member of the leadership team during the divestiture of Vista and integration with Guidepoint.
She began her career at Schlumberger where she was a Wireline & Testing field engineer, engineer recruiter for North America, and sales engineer. She is a recipient of the prestigious Wildcatter Award for discovering oil and gas in Brazoria County, Texas.
Cecily holds a B.A. in Geology and Environmental Studies from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
