John Kim

Investment Advisor

John is an operating executive, investor and advisor to growth companies. He currently heads JHK Capital, a diversified investment platform active in public and private equity. He is also a Partner at Laser Ventures, helping growth companies find product market fit using Jobs to be Done.

From 2018 to 2019, John was Vice President of Investor Relations and Analytics at L3 Technologies, where he advised senior management on corporate strategy, M&A, and investor relations. He also led L3’s data analytics team.

From 2002 to 2016, he was a public equity investor first at Ulysses Management and then at SAB Capital, where he was Senior Analyst and Industrials sector head. John has invested across a wide range of industries including aerospace & defense, capital equipment & electronics, automotive, energy and infrastructure.

John earned his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School and BA, magna cum laude, in economics and art history from Williams College. He is also a CFA charter holder.
